Fast path to understanding expectations of a BA Role

I'd recommend this book to anyone wanting to understand at a high level the general role/responsibilities of a Business Analyst and the expected deliverable. This book does an excellent job of giving the reader a starting framework to work from and was a very easy/light read. Very valuable and I would actually pair this book that teaches how to document "thinking" with another book that teaches "how" to think for anyone but particularly the youth.

While I did learn some basics from this book, it's indeed very basic.

I am already an analyst, but I wanted to formalize some of the practices I used and better learn how to approach certain things. I did not feel like this book helped me get to where I wanted to be, but to be fair it is a quick start guide.

About the Author
Craig M. Wright received his Bachelor of Music degree at the Eastman School of Music in 1966 and his Ph.D. in musicology from Harvard University in 1972. He began his teaching career at the University of Kentucky and for the past forty years has been teaching at Yale University, where he is currently the Henry L. and Lucy G. Moses Professor of Music. At Yale, Wright's courses include his perennially popular introductory course, Listening to Music (also part of the offerings of Open Yale Courses); his large lecture course Exploring the Nature of Genius; and most recently his Coursera course Introduction to Classical Music. He is the author of numerous scholarly books and articles on composers ranging from Leoninus to Bach. Wright has also been the recipient of many awards, including a Guggenheim Fellowship, the Einstein and Kinkeldey Awards of the American Musicological Society, and the Dent Medal of the International Musicological Society. In 2004, he was awarded the honorary degree Doctor of Humane Letters from the University of Chicago. And in 2010 he was elected a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, joining fellow inductee, banjo player Steve Martin. In addition to LISTENING TO MUSIC and LISTENING TO WESTERN MUSIC, EIGHTH EDITION, Wright has also published THE ESSENTIAL LISTENING TO MUSIC, SECOND EDITION; LISTENING TO MUSIC, CHINESE EDITION (Schirmer Cengage Learning/Three Union Press, 2012), translated and simplified by Profs. Li Xiujung (China Conservatory, Beijing) and Yu Zhigang (Central Conservatory, Beijing), both of whom worked with Wright at Yale; and MUSIC IN WESTERN CIVILIZATION, MEDIA UPDATE (Schirmer Cengage Learning, 2010), with coauthor Bryan Simms. He is currently at work on a volume titled MOZART'S BRAIN: EXPLORING THE NATURE OF GENIUS.

Bryan R. Simms (Bachelor of Arts, Yale University, 1966; Ph.D., Yale University, 1971) has taught since 1976 at the University of Southern California, where he has been director of graduate studies and is currently chair of the department of musicology. He is the recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Fulbright Foundation. He is the author of books and articles on topics in twentieth-century music and music theory, including MUSIC OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY (Schirmer 1996) and, most recently, THE ATONAL MUSIC OF ARNOLD SCHOENBERG, 1908-1923 (Oxford University Press).

About the Author

Harran Burri, University Hospital of Geneva, Switzerland,Carsten Israel, Evangelical Hospital, Bielefeld, Germany,Jean-Claude Deharo, Timone Hospital, Marseilles, France

Professor Haran Burri is an electrophysiologist working at the University Hospital of Geneva, Switzerland. He is actively involved with CIED implantation and follow-up, as well as in ablation procedures. His clinical research focuses on cardiac pacing, ICD and CRT, and has been involved with over 100 publications. He founded and directed the annual EHRA cardiac pacing course, and currently serves on the EHRA board as Chairman of the Education Committee.

Professor Carsten Israel is the Chief Physician of the Hospital for Internal Medicine Cardiology, Ev. Krankenhaus Bielefeld-Bethel. He is a member of the Educational Committee of European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) since September 2009, and a board member of the International Cardiac Pacing & Electrophysiology Society (ICPES) since 2008. He is also the editor of the journal 'Herzschrittmachertherapie und Elektrophysiologie' and Co-editor of EUROPACE since 2007.

Professor Jean-Claude Deharo is an EHRA Accreditation Committee member based at the Rhythmology department, Timone Hospital in Marseilles, France.

Good book. Written in the form of cases that are used to bring out teaching points. Annotated EGMs. Some basic knowledge is required and best used along with another more comprehensive text. But it's a good book for what it is intended.

About the Author
After completing his Ph.D. in transition metal chemistry at Imperial College, London, England, Geoff Rayner-Canham has spent his career mainly at the Grenfell Campus of Memorial University, Newfoundland, Canada, together with sabbatical leaves at such diverse places as the Colorado School of Mines and the University of California, Santa Cruz. Being unable to find an inorganic chemistry text which used the concepts to explain the properties and uses of the chemical elements and compounds, he, subsequently joined by Tina Overton, authored Descriptive Inorganic Chemistry. The text is now entering its sixth edition, and has been translated into Spanish, Korean, Japanese, German, Portuguese, and Khmer. Geoff has authored many publications relevant to the teaching of inorganic chemistry, including several on novel aspects of the Periodic Table. Recognition of his contributions to the teaching of chemistry have included the Chemistry Education Award of the Chemical Institute of Canada, and the National Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada PromoScience Award. Researching the life and work of pioneering women chemists is another of his activities, this work resulting in several books co-authored with Marelene Rayner-Canham.

La primera mitad del libro tiene su gracia y atrapa, pero posteriormente como que la historia no amarra y es poco verosímil. Aparte de esto, la edición para Kindle, que fue la que leí, tiene muchos errores de edición como puntuación en lugares equivocados y párrafos duplicados que entorpecen la lectura. El trabajo de edición haría la lectura cómoda, mas me temo que no podría recomendar el texto.

La narración no aporta riqueza literaria, sólo cuenta lo que pasa, parece un argumento cinematográfico. Incluso usa una palabra de manera incorrecta, no voy a decir cual. Dudo que el narrador sea español, como pusieron en un comentario.
