This book is fully loaded with information and instructions on how to acquire a web app development.JS Express was like a foreign language to me before reading this book, but I managed to understand the principles of this book, which is given to writing success pc. In this book examples are limited but they serve the purpose of introducing new topics directly without the direction of research and education in the development of web. This guidebook is very helpful and well written. By the help of this book I have learned about express.j's. Inside of this book the author has described about how to develop my web application perfectly like a professional. A few weeks ago, my cousin suggested me about this book and for that reason I did not forget to purchase this book. By reading this book I have learned about how to send requests and display responses to the browser. It is true that there are various types of middle-ware available in express.js. I had a huge interest to know about it and for that reason I purchased this book. This book fulfilled my expectation. By reading this book I have learned about how to use middle-ware and debugging express. Here I have found lots of helpful instruction and tutorials. Overall, this book is very helpful and by reading this book I am pleased.

The book is largely a review of fundamental express.js knowledge, express modules, with many short examples to illustrate how the modules work, followed by a number of full application based examples that really drive home the knowledge provided earlier in the book.This is the one of the best books out there to learn and enhance your existing knowledge in Express.js. I have been in to java for few years but was recently started working with a new client that uses express.js . So one of my colleague suggested this book to me and am happy I came across this book. Every thing was well explained with examples .I would recommend buying it. It's a great way from zero to pro quickly

About the Author
Russell M. Cummings is a professor of aeronautics at the US Air Force Academy, where he teaches fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, and numerical methods, in addition to computational aerodynamics. Professor Cummings is the coauthor of Aerodynamics for Engineers, 6th edition, and is also professor emeritus of aerospace engineering at California Polytechnic State University. Professor Cummings has specialized in high angle of attack aerodynamics and manoeuvring aircraft simulation for most of his career.

William H. Mason is a professor emeritus of aerospace engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. As a member of the Virginia Tech community since 1989, Mason has advised many undergraduate and graduate students in the aerospace engineering degree program and has served as graduate advisor for twenty-three master's thesis students and nine doctoral students. In addition, he advised numerous undergraduate aircraft-design teams, with nine first-place honors in international design competitions and ten second- or third-place honors. He was the advisor to the Virginia Tech student chapter of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and to the Design Build Fly Team.

Scott A. Morton is a researcher at the University of Dayton Research Institute and is the principal software developer for the Kestrel Fixed Wing Aircraft Product of the Computational Research and Engineering Acquisition Tools and Environments (CREATE) Program, part of the DoD High Performance Computing Modernization Program Office. He leads a team of thirteen aerodynamicists, structural dynamicists and software engineers in a twelve year project to produce a production quality tool integrating aerodynamics, dynamic stability and control, structures, propulsion, and store and cargo separation into a single simulation on a peta-flop class machine. Dr Morton served as a professor of aeronautics at the US Air Force Academy from 1998 to 2006, at which time he retired from the Air Force at the rank of Lt Colonel. Dr Morton has specialized in the areas of high angle of attack aerodynamics, aeroelasticity, and computational stability and control in his twenty-nine-year career.

David R. McDaniel began his career serving in the US Air Force conducting flight tests to assess the stability and control characteristics of various military aircraft. He later taught aerodynamics and thermodynamics at the US Air Force Academy where he first entered into the world of computational aerodynamics. He worked as a researcher in the Aeronautics Lab at the Academy for several years developing computational techniques for simulating various multidisciplinary problems. Dr McDaniel currently is a Research Associate Professor at the University of Alabama, Birmingham where he works on the Kestrel fixed-wing product development team as part of the CREATE effort managed by the DoD High Performance Computing Modernization Program.

An excellent book for undergraduate/beginner CFD, informative, useful, and perfectly-pitched

I used this as the recommended (not mandatory) text for an introductory, applied (very applied) CFD course at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Several students purchased it and read it avidly - we used it as a general reference for digging a little deeper into the "black box". To be clear, this is a book clearly aimed at those new-ish to CFD and is perfect for the undergraduate taking a course or two in computational aerodynamics as it covers both simpler (and older) techniques as well as what most of us think of as industrial CFD in RANS (and some LES/DES). The descriptions of why things are the way they are are good and accessible, with an appropriate level of mathematical rigor while not being nearly as dense and off-putting as some of the more traditional CFD texts. The wealth of examples are useful for getting students thinking about what their results can look like, and the profiles of CFD researchers and developers is a nice touch that helps personalize some of the big names in CFD and CFD education, as well as showing the diversity of careers possible in CFD even if largely limited to the aerospace industry. It is obviously aimed at the aerospace industry, however a future version may benefit from expanding slightly into some related areas which are really only touched on, as the general content is actually fine for courses that might also be taught in Mechanical and Civil arenas and it wouldn't take too many additional examples to help that feel relevant for wind engineers in general.

Overall I was pleased that the author team took the time to write for their intended audience and not just cram it full of the stuff that seems to be accepted as "the stuff you have to know about CFD", which is often woefully misjudged for students learning about computational aerodynamics for the first time. This is a very substantial book and as the students had already learned about aerodynamics and matlab-able potential flow/lifitng line theory, we skipped the first few chapters but it would be a nice catch-all for approximately 2 or even 3 courses in this area.

I must admit we are fortunate to have plenty of software options available to us and our students, so we did not make use of some of the code/examples that are sprinkled throughout. If teaching CFD to an undergraduate population, I would highly recommend a modest investment in commercial software that is well-documented, with a user-friendly GUI, as the students will find it much easier to get started and get excited, after which they can delve further into the theory and the mechanics of it all - having them flail around feeling like a cold war hacker to solve problems is, in my experience, inauthentic of the industry we're preparing them for, and a sure-fire way to induce boredom and frustration. ANSYS or CD-Adapco, for instance, will often happily provide Formula SAE or AIAA DBF teams with licenses as sponsorship, and several other packages are competitive to the point of now costing less than a decent desktop on which to run them - for universities without established CFD infrastructure and expertise, this is probably the route to go down rather than relying on bits and pieces from the book which, while potentially useful, are probably more of a "bonus" item that would be particularly useful for the student who otherwise has little or no access to resources (which in this day and age means they are somehow sitting around with either a serious conscience or no internet connection...!).

Not as advertised

The book gets 2 stars because it is fairly easy to read. The description is somewhat misleading with respect to software. It advertises open source software, but a few Matlab scripts does not constitute open source software. The other software are trial versions of proprietary programs with preprogrammed examples, i.e. the reader does not have the opportunity to "play" with unique test cases.

I do not recommend if you want to learn about CA

A Very Challenging Combination of Linear Algebra and Multivariate Calculus

At the University of Georgia this book is used for a two semester honors course that combines linear algebra and multivariate calculus (MATH 3500 and MATH 3510) and is generally taught by Dr. Shifrin himself. The idea is to show students how the two subjects are fundamentally related while at the same time giving rigorous proofs of the underpinnings of vector calculus and linear algebra. I would say that about 80% of the work in this text is proof related, so if you're one who normally struggles with theory and proofs this is definitely not the book for you.

While Dr. Shifrin can be a bit dry with his explanations at times I can guarantee you that students will learn a lot by putting forth the effort. Again, for those of you who are not familiar with Shifrin's books or style of writing I would not recommend this book to any beginner of linear algebra and/or multivariate calculus. This book is best served for students who feel comfortable proving theorems and being able to justify their work. Nonetheless, if you're up for a good challenge I would highly recommend this book because the exercises will definitely make you think.

In conclusion, I think one of the most rewarding aspects of this book is the appreciation of linear algebra/vector calculus that one will have after having labored through the chapters. Oftentimes students take linear algebra and leave the class wondering what the point of it all was, which actually defeats the purpose of taking the class in the first place. Well, with this book those questions will be taken care of because students are exposed to the practicality of linear algebra by showing how it is related to calculus and how it is useful in and of itself. If you're looking for more than just mere formulas/generalizations to memorize to get you through the class (or if you're just curious about the subject) then by all means pick up this book because I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

This is very nice book that produces a very complete coverage of the material. Why give it only 2 stars? Easy. The material is not so advanced that it is worth the ridiculous price. Hubbard and Hubbard is more cost-effective (you save $40) and has a lot more material. Alternately you can purchase Borden and Shilov from Dover together and save $125.

Beautiful but Wordy

This book is probably best for young students who have a large amount of time on their hands.
There are some parts about it I love---such as the effort to give an intuitive explanation of every concept, the attention given to creativity, problems, typesetting, and diagrams; and there are some things I hate---the fact that sometimes the book tries too hard to explain and just ends up obfuscating the concept; the weaving, self-conscious prose; and the fact that sometimes more subtlety is better, which the text occasionally seems to forget.

If you are mature enough, I think you can probably learn the content here well from a more terse presentation.
And if you are immature, a more terse presentation might be a quicker way for you to grow up.
But in all, I can't hate this text for the sake of its effort to really make students understand the interplay and rigorous nature of mathematics.

Two books which are similar to this one are
(1) Advanced Calculus of Several Variables by CH Edwards, which I prefer and highly recommend (readable yet compact)
(2) Hubbard and Hubbard's Vector Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Differential Forms. I do not have experience with this, but have heard rave reviews. In my opinion, at 800 pages, it is probably a sprawling summary of all undergraduate mathematics, with some ingenious insights.

This book is well written and explores the possibility that the giants mentioned in the bible in Genesis 6 and elsewhere were the Nephilim, the offspring of fallen angels and human women.
The book studies all angles of the giant/nephilm theory and is very in depth and research is supported by biblical and other sources.
The book is 633 pages long and very comprehensive.
Very interesting theory and book is hard to put down, keeps you interested.

A Handy Guide to the Ancient Biblical World and Some Pretty Strange Things from It

Brian Godawa has been writing his fast paced, faithful, yet imaginative retelling of the ancient supernatural world of the Bible in his Chronicles of the Nephilim series. He's six of eight books through it. In each of these novels, he has put relevant Appendices that give the true, scholarly background behind some of the important fantastical or misunderstood themes developed in that particular novel. Its like the perfect blend of fiction and non-fiction. Now, he has put those Appendices together into a single reference book that will be a go-to resource time and time again when wanting a relatively short, but very informative overview of some pretty strange topics.

When Giants Were Upon the Earth has Appendices on the sons of God, the Nephilim, Leviathan, ancient geography, other mythical monsters, and many more from his first six novels. Plus, there is a new Appendix on the book of 1 Enoch, which is very informative, as well as new appendices that will be featured in his last two novels on David and Jesus to released in the future. His research in these Appendices is top notch as the Foreword from Dr. Michael Heiser (the modern day fountain and hero for many of us writing on these topics) demonstrates. The Foreword itself is almost worth the price of the book, as it explains why Godawa's work here is so important. I highly recommend this one for your bookshelf, be it real or virtual or both!

Not much new

I purchased this book because David Gershon has recently been touted by the City of Palo Alto. I found very little new in this book, so I am disappointed. Maybe there is little one can do individually to combat climate change that has not already been done by many in and around Palo Alto. What's next? I'm inclined to think it may be in the realm of divesting oneself of all fossil fuel investments.

Great stuff, well written.

Vamosi is a Senior Analyst for the device security gurus at Mocana ([...]) so he probably knows what he's talking about.

Devices already outnumber PC's on the Internet by about 5 to 1, and so far, we haven't seen a *ton* of attacks on them.... but the ones we have seen are, frankly, terrifying. Vamosi's book makes it clear that the honeymoon is over. Device populations are exploding - soon to outnumber workstations by *100* to 1 - and most of them have far less ability to protect themselves than the PC in your daughter's bedroom. The irony is that hacks on connected devices are even more likely to have real-world consequences: these devices control the brakes on your car, the valves in the chemical plant, the phase rectification for your neighborhood electrical substation. And, in general, they are all wide open to hackers. And lets not even get started on smartphones and tablets...

Vamosi's book is a terrific primer on the security (part one) and privacy (part two) risks inherent in the connected device explosion. This should be required reading for anyone working in security, electronic commerce, venture capital, corporate compliance or social media.

Who knew?

It is not often that a book completely changes how you look at the world around you, but this one does just that. Robert Vamosi manages to open one's eyes wide to the real capabilities as well as the appalling vulnerabilities of the gadgets that increasingly manage our lives. The view is fascinating, if not always comforting. Gone is the complacency with which I implicitly trusted that all would be well when I pressed the remote and my locked car gently beeped back, when I twirled the dial on my gym locker or allowed my driver's license to be electronically swiped. Although I am not the least bit technically inclined, this book made clear to me how such devices work and how they can be compromised. Luckily the remedy Vamosi proposes for the possible disasters he outlines is simple--be aware and, for heaven's sake, use a little common sense.

This clearly written survey manages to be totally engaging despite its technical subjects. It feels sophisticated and yet makes its information accessible to everyone. It is full of enjoyable vignettes of real people and the grief their gadgets have wrought, yet at the same time quite scholarly. Unobtrusive references make clear where the information came from and how to find more. What I enjoyed most about the book is the feeling it left me with that I actually understood (superficially at least) what is going on in the invisible wireless world of RFID's, SIM's, etc. I was not the least surprised by the kerfuffle in the recent press about Google tracking the whereabouts of iPhone users. Who knew? Anyone who had read this book would have guessed.

Scary stuff in common gadgets

Robert Vamosi has written this excellent volume to remind us that many of our commonly used gadgets (cars, phones computers, even passports), are capable of providing information about many aspects of our lives without our knowledge or permission. Many of our gadgets have been deliberately programed by well known and trusted companies such as Apple; e.g. the recent revelation that Apple tracts our travel progress through iPhones and iPads. Vamosi provides many, equally unsettling examples - in some cases not even requiring that the gadget be turned on. So called RFID (radio frequency induced) signals emitted from many gadgets can be monitored by anyone with the equipment to receive those signals. BIG BROTHER (or, BIG BUSINESS) is indeed watching us.

Vamosi's stated purpose is to make us aware of these potential threats, and he does so in a highly readable and scholarly manner. The depth and breadth of the information is quite astonishing, and for such a technology-rich book the information is easily digested. The author uses individual cases to review problems encountered by others, and discusses studies conducted by experts who have explored the limitations and risks of commonly used gadgets. No universal solutions are offered to cope with the potential misuse of acquired information, as in fact there is no simple solution. The message here is clear, however: Be aware of what gadgets are potentially capable of invading your privacy, and of what steps you can take to minimize this invasion. This book is a must read for all.
